When asked how she would describe herself in as little as five words, Stephanie’s response: Wife, mom, sarcastic, athlete, sarcastic
Did she forget to mention sarcastic? She is a business owner, professional, and expert in her field and her question is: insurance is boring enough already – why should your agent be? 😉
After graduating college from the University of North Texas, Stephanie began her career in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster. With five years of experience under her belt, she decided she wanted to help consumers on the front end of the process in a proactive role vs the reactive role of claims by ensuring they are properly covered when something happens. In 2012, she started her own captive agency but quickly realized she could help more clients by not having just one product to sell so she entered the independent brokerage world, focusing primarily on life and health products.
Being a small business owner herself, Stephanie has found a passion for helping others in the same market segment as small and medium sized businesses are often overlooked and underserved in the insurance world. After 2014 and all that changed due to new laws and regulations, it became an extremely confusing time regarding health insurance and what companies and individuals were required to do which is where Stephanie came in. With so many veteran and seasoned agents were jumping ship and leaving the market, Stephanie jumped in and accepted the challenge of the chaotic market. When discussing employee options with her clients, it isn’t just about the insurance products but the business strategy aspect as well. She understands that not all industries are the same and different industries call for different benefits in order to maintain competitiveness while hiring and retaining good talent which is a key factor in the success of any business – the people. Specializing in manufacturing and higher level professional industries such as engineering, accounting, and banking, to name a few, she takes a deep dive into not only the kind of benefits that could be offered but HOW they should be offered for the employer’s best interest.
As mentioned previously, Stephanie is a wife to Brian and mother to two wonderful children, Weston and Jocelyn.
